The Poulan Pro 42cc
I bought this saw at Wal-mart to use for topping and limbing up trees that I had fell with my larger saw.  Price was around 160 with a case bar and chain.  I love this saw.  It works great runs great and has always started right up for me.  In oak and maple this saw will stay only few cuts maybe 2 or 3 behind a husq. 455 on anything 12 inches or less so for the price difference I think it is a darn good by.  The oiler will really put out the oil also keeps chain clean and cool.  Saw is light enough to handle all day yet heavy enough to pull its self right on through the log.  Good tool at a good price.  Have used it 3 years now without a lick of trouble.  If you are looking for a cheaper saw for a little firewood or just to use here and there I would recomend it very much if you can't afford a husqy

Husqavarna 395XP
This is my timber saw.  The only thing that I can say is awesome.  It is massive yet not to heavey.  It has taken a likin and kept on ticking.  Had a tree spin it and had one kick it out all together the top plastic got broke off and the plug snaped but replaced the spark plug and it still runs like a dream.  The 25 inch bar that I run on it is a little short for it and you have to becarfull or it will be clean through a tree before you know it.  I used it on a chainsaw mill for awhile and with a 16 inch bar sawed the metal log dog clean in half and never knew it till I got to the end of the log.  The chain was shot but the saw powered through anyway.  Also it has broken a few chains with the 25 inch bar.  Power on top of Power out of this thing.  The oiler pumps great and keeps the chain slick and clean even in sappy pine.  Although it has a 95cc engine it still just sipps gas.  Starts real easy even when 20 degrees outside just a couple of pulls and it is off and running.  Although pricey at just over a 1000 bucks if you need a timber saw I have never handled one better.

Skill 7 amp Slugger Drill
Pick this tool up and the local Wal-mart and it works very well.  If not using the hammer setting you really need high speed bits cause it really cranks out the rpms.  Well balanced and handles very well.  I think that at 60 bucks you can't beat it.  Skill has came a long way over the years.  I have a random sander and skill made by them and both are great tools and didn't break me up.  I feel that the company is starting to pass Caftsman in quality and price.

Black and decker cordless tools
Simply put they suck.  Batteries only last about a year before they dont charge well also the 18 volt system seams to lack in power compared to other tools.  The saws-zall has good RMP but very little torque and will drain a fresh battery in just a few minutes of  cutting.  These tools are more the person that does very little work.  The are not very tough either.  Drop it a couple of time and it will break.  The flash light bulb blows really fast and hard to find replacements.  I would not waist my money on them.  I would spend a little more money and get a better tool.

Man Power
shovels, madik, sledge hammer, wheel barrel, and some good old grunting and groaning.

PMC ammo.  Don't buy it.  It is junk you have alot of difference from one round to the other.  One round will be so light loaded that you wonder how the bullet made it out of the barrel and then others that are so hot that they almost blow the primer out of the case.  Freakin sucky stuff.  I have bought it at differnt times to keep up on if they are improving or not and I am finding out that they are not.  Was given a box yesterday Holly and I went out to do a little free traget practice.  I shot 2 rounds that drop 4 inches in just 25 yards out of my 357 another round was so hot that it flashed back and hot powder hit my face.  When we finished shooting I looked in my barrel and it was full of fouling, and I mean full was most likly a full quater charge of unbrunt powder in there.  It was like I had been shooting real black powder rounds out of it.  That is way to much unbrunt powder being left by synthetic powder rounds.  So a pure waste.  If you are looking for a little cheaper shooting but still good ammo try Master or CCI

IHC disk Harrow
The one that I have is my Pappy's old harrow.  It had not been used in at least 30 years when I drug it back up out of the field but a little grease and a new seat and off I went.  It is a 6ft modle and does a really good job.  I can't believe how well this old horse disc does.  Was made right I can tell you that.  Mine has a tongue truck on it and that really makes it nice for 2 resons frist the rider not fell every trot of the team and second is the team dont have all the wieght on the neck all day.  If you are looking for an old to work with and not use for a yard piece I highly recomend the IHC over some others that I seen work even some of the new ones.

Wal-Mart Brand Work Lights
Since it is so hot and humid already this summer I am going to start sawing during late evening and at night so I started looking at construction sight light to light up the mill site.  The kids got me 2 from wal-mart for like 10 bucks each.  I was not really sure how much those 500 watt lights would light up but let me tell ya they will brighten things right.  I found them to be just as bright as the DEWALT brand lights but heck of a lot cheaper.  They work great and are rather heavey made for the cheaper brand of stuff.  It is always nice to find off brand cheaper stuff that works aswell if not better then the name brand stuff.  Keeping more money in the pocket while still doing what you need it to is all ways a good thing.
